According to recent CNN
and Los Angeles Times Bloomberg Polls,
Americans are at odds with the Bush Administration's
Iraq War policies:
- 70% disapprove of how President Bush is handling
Iraq
- 67% oppose the War in Iraq
- 54% support withdrawal of all troops by
December 2007
- Only 11% of Americans support a troop
increase
- 64% think that the U.S. should talk directly with
Iran and Syria about the future of Iraq
Another Mother for Peace thinks that the
110th Congress - which convened on January 4 -
should act on the mandate demanded by the
American electorate last November.
Another Mother for Peace urges you to
contact the following Congressional
committee chairs and leaders. Tell them:
- The Iraq War is not healthy for children and other
living things
- Withdraw U.S. troops
- Do not support temporary troop "surges"
- Support diplomatic efforts with Iraq's regional
neighbors to achieve consensus for stability in
Iraq
